Care/Usage Tips
Wet hair and the shampoo bar. Rub the bar between hands or directly on the scalp to create lather. Massage into scalp and hair, then rinse thoroughly. Repeat if needed. Allow the bar to dry between uses.
Do not oversaturate with water: You only need to slightly wet the bar or rub it in your wet hands to create lather.
Apply efficiently: You can rub the bar directly onto the scalp, not the ends, or create lather in your hands first and then apply it.
Use the small pieces: When the bar is almost finished, you can attach the small piece to a new bar by moistening both, or place the leftover pieces in a sisal soap bag to use them like a sponge.
Use a draining soap dish: It is essential to place the bar on a surface with holes or ridges so excess water can drain away. If it sits in water, it will soften and “melt” much faster.
Air dry between uses: Let it dry completely between each use. Do not store it in closed containers, such as travel tins, while it is still wet, as this can encourage bacterial growth.
Keep in a cool, dry place: Keep your shampoo away from direct shower spray and direct sunlight, which can degrade its natural ingredients.
Other Notes
Keep the bar on a dry, well-drained soap dish between uses to help extend its life.
Transition period: If you are switching from silicone-heavy shampoos, your hair may feel different for 1–2 weeks while buildup washes away.
Avoid buildup: Bentonite can feel deeply cleansing. If your hair is very dry, use as needed and alternate with a more moisturizing routine.
